Description & Requirements

Monadelphous is seeking Coatings Inspectors to provide support on the Shell CRUX project. This role will see you provide inspection and quality assurance support to our offshore insulation and coating teams, by ensuring activities are performed safely, meet specification, and align with the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect insulation installation and painting/coating works to verify compliance with project specifications, ITPs and applicable standards
• Perform visual and measurement checks on surface preparation, coating application (DFT/WFT), adhesion and cure
• Witness and document hold points, compile inspection reports and punch lists, and track NCRs to close-out
• Conduct risk assessments, prepare and ensure permits are correct for tasks
• Provide technical advice to crews and planners; maximise time in field with safety talks and interactions

What you’ll bring:

• Proven QA/QC inspection experience across insulation and industrial coatings within Oil & Gas or heavy industry
• Certifications such as NACE CIP Level 2/ICorr or equivalent for coatings; trade background in insulation advantageous
• Sound understanding of coating/insulation standards and practices (e.g. ISO 12944, SSPC, AS/NZS standards)
• Relevant experience within the Australian Oil and Gas sector (approx 5 years)
• Current BOSIET, CA-EBS, Escape Chute Training and MSIC
• Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
• Full Australian work rights, with no restrictions
