Our Opportunity
- Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

In the role of AHS Field Builder, reporting to the AHS Field Builder Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance of our Autonomous Haulage Fleet through the use of Command Minestar. We welcome candidates with proven experience in the AHS Mining environment with experience with either Minestar or similar AHS system experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently oversee a fleet of trucks, achieving key dispatch metrics, maximising machine utilisation to enhance safety, productivity and cost efficiency.
- Implement and oversee fleet operations to fulfill the 24-hour plan.
- Develop and maintain a virtual mine model, ensuring accuracy between the actual and virtual environments.
- Effective communication with all stakeholders including the Perth Operations centre (HIVE).
- Optimise the mine model for maximum throughput in dynamic areas.
- Manage all virtual zones, including those designated for blasting, speed and traction control.
- Act as the eyes on the ground for autonomous machinery, monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and ensuring seamless integration with manned operations.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Demonstrated interest in innovation and emerging technologies.
- Minimum 2 year AHS Mining experience in a similar role (Pit Patroller, Mine Control, Builder).
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery (dozers, excavators, loaders) within an AHS environment is desirable but not essential.
- Current and valid WA C-Class driver’s licence.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
