About the Role
IntroductionOn behalf of our client, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently seeking an Adviser - Roads & Transport for a short-term casual contract. This role is open to residential candidates only presently residing in Roma, Queensland.
You will be responsible for managing the Client's Road & Transport activities including traffic data management, road safety audits and coordination with Councils and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain currency of project traffic counts on Council and State-controlled roads
- Develop, implement and manage Roads & Transport Coordination strategy with internal and external stakeholders
- Produce traffic forecasts to support identification of future upgrade requirements
- Conduct road safety audits for different vehicle classes
- Participate as the Company Representative on Transport Working Groups with Regional Councils
- Negotiate road "fit-for-use/not fit-for-use" status and upgrade treatments with Councils
- Negotiate upgrade works packages through SLAs and track progress for capital upgrades
- Share road network intelligence for GIS mapping and the Company Safe Drive app
- Plan, procure and oversee road maintenance works on Council roads under the Company's responsibility
- Maintain private bitumen road networks
- Contribute to cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Ensure compliance with Company EHS standards, Management System, Delegation of Authority, Corporate Governance and Safety requirements
About You / Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications OR demonstrated relevant experience in management of transport and logistics programs, communications or similar will be well received
- Previous experience in roads and transport coordination
- Flexibility to commute by road to various locations
- Experience developing productive relationships with stakeholders and clients
- Ability to work in a timely and flexible manner while showing initiative
- Technical competencies: Road Asset Management, infrastructure planning, traffic data analysis and forecasting, road safety auditing, stakeholder engagement, EHS integration, cost management and value optimisation
