Hays is currently recruiting a Client Side Workplace & Facilities Specialist for a well-known mining company. This will be based in the CBD. Your role will be to ensure their outsourced facilities service provider delivers safe, compliant and high-quality facilities and services across all offices.

Your new role

As Specialist Workplace and Travel, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, well-maintained and compliant office facilities across the client's global corporate locations, aligned to organisational standards and values.

This is a client-side role, reporting to the Manager, Workplace and Travel, and is well suited to someone looking to build their experience in corporate facilities, workplace services and travel management within a large, global organisation.

In this role, you will work closely with the outsourced Facilities Service Provider (FSP), internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts to support day-to-day facility performance, asset activities and compliance requirements. You will gain exposure to workplace safety processes, budgeting and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that help create inclusive, safe and effective workplaces.

This role offers a strong foundation for someone who is early in their career, commercially minded and keen to learn how workplace services operate at scale, while being supported by experienced leaders and partners.

In this role, you will:

  • · Support the delivery of safe, compliant and high-quality facilities services across South32’s global corporate offices, working with the Facilities Service Provider to meet agreed standards and business needs.
  • · Assist with monitoring contractor performance, asset activities and service delivery against established frameworks and requirements.
  • · Contribute to workplace safety and risk processes, including supporting reviews, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
  • · Provide practical support to internal stakeholders by sharing information on facility standards, processes and operational impacts
  • · Assist with budget tracking, forecasting and reporting for the Workplace portfolio, building commercial and financial capability
  • · Support change initiatives and projects by helping coordinate facilities-related activities and inputs

What you'll need to succeed

You are someone with strong business awareness who enjoys working collaboratively and is keen to grow your capability within a corporate, client-side environment.

You will bring:

  • · Experience working in a corporate, facilities, property, workplace services or similar environment
  • · An interest in how facilities, safety, service delivery and budgets come together to support business outcomes.
  • · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with a range of stakeholders
  • · A practical, evidence-based approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • · Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn systems, processes and standards
  • Bachelors degree desirable
