As the demand for sustainable resource development grows, they are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to provide high-level technical leadership across hydrogeological studies, groundwater management, and mine‑life planning.

Your new role
As the Senior Hydrogeologist, you will be a key technical specialist responsible for developing and implementing groundwater strategies that support safe, sustainable, and compliant mining operations. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to provide expert hydrogeological insights, guide decision-making, and contribute to long-term operational planning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading hydrogeological investigations, modelling and interpretation to support mine design, dewatering and long-term water management.

• Providing expert advice on groundwater risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Overseeing the design and implementation of monitoring programs, borefield operations and dewatering systems.

• Managing external consultants, contractors and technical studies.

• Preparing high-quality technical reports, approvals documentation and project deliverables.

• Supporting operational teams with troubleshooting, optimisation and field-based guidance.

• Contributing to strategic planning, including water resource forecasting and closure studies.

  What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in hydrogeology within the mining or resources sector.

• Demonstrated expertise in groundwater modelling, dewatering, and aquifer characterisation.

• Strong understanding of WA regulatory frameworks and groundwater licencing.

• Proven ability to manage technical projects, stakeholders and consultants.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and guide operational and senior stakeholders.

• A proactive, collaborative approach with a strong commitment to safety and sustainable water management.
