SAFETY ADVISOR

Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off (Wednesday to Wednesday FIFO)

Location: FIFO ex Darwin Start Date: 18 March 2026

Contract Type: 6‑month casual contract

YOUR NEW COMPANY

You will be joining a well‑established mining operation in the Northern Territory. The site maintains a strong focus on safety leadership, compliance and continuous improvement, similar to the culture seen across major Australian mining operations.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As the Safety Advisor, you will provide day‑to‑day support to operational teams and contribute to a strong safety culture by delivering WHS guidance, supporting risk management activities and maintaining safety system requirements. The role reflects the expectations of safety positions across leading mining environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support compliance with organisational WHS policies and relevant WHS legislation. Provide sound safety advice to operational stakeholders. Assist with both internal and external audit processes. Support the maintenance of the site safety database. Conduct or review investigations, inspections, observations and hazard management activities. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.

Minimum of three years’ experience in safety roles, ideally within mining or processing.

Experience working with safety systems and WHS processes.

Knowledge of WHS legislation.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable.

Experience with incident investigations such as ICAM desirable.
