Description & Requirements
Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer for a permanent position based in our Brisbane office.
APIP (Australian Power Industry Partners) are an experienced high voltage services contractor delivering end to end electrical solutions for transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure across Australia. With our recent acquisition by the Monadelphous Group, APIP is well positioned to build on our reputation as agile, solutions focused HV specialists.
- Provide technical authority for the approval of transmission line designs, including design verification, reviews, and certifications (as applicable).
- Maintain compliance with CPEng and RPEQ obligations, including supervision and interface with other specialists where required.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, civil/structural engineers, protection engineers, electrical supervisors and construction teams.
- Interface with clients, utilities, and regulators to manage technical requirements and approvals.
- Provide technical input during tendering, procurement, and equipment evaluations.
- Support construction, commissioning, and testing activities, including site inspections and technical queries.
What you will bring:
- An Australian-recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, specialising in Transmission Lines, with CPEng and RPEQ registration.
- Extensive experience in transmission line design is required with attention paid to constructability, suitability to the overall project and clients need
- Proven track record of managing subcontracts, client interface and design
- Excellent written and technical skills and a confident user of MS Office Suite
- Clear and engaging communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Driven commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Proof of right to work in Australia
