About the Role:

Reporting to the Technical Services leadership team, you will be instrumental in supporting operational readiness and driving ongoing production success. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the future of this key project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all facets of mine engineering, including medium-term planning, detailed design, scheduling, and drill & blast support.
• Provide crucial technical and commercial support to operational teams to ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Deliver robust engineering analysis and data-driven advice to support critical operational decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement and business improvement initiatives to optimise performance and reduce costs.
• Manage and maintain production reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate closely with site teams to achieve production plan compliance and troubleshoot challenges.
• Assist with progress claims, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Champion a world-class safety culture and maintain a commitment to operational excellence.

What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and results-oriented engineer with:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar mining engineering role within a surface mining environment.
• High proficiency with mine planning software (e.g., Vulcan, Deswik, Surpac).
• Previous exposure to hard rock, open-cut mining operations (highly regarded).
• A proven track record of contributing to operational improvements and team success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive and unwavering commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
