About the Role
The Opportunity
We’re seeking safety-driven, team-oriented Mobile Plant/Heavy Plant Technicians to join our Gunnedah Branch. These positions are permanently based on a customer site, with two different shift options available. If you’re a qualified Heavy Diesel Tradesperson who thrives working autonomously and excels in diagnostics, repairs, and solving complex technical challenges, this role will place you at the forefront of the action.
Available Rosters: Monday to Sunday, 5 on, 4 off split – 5.30am to 5.30pm / 5.30pm to 5.30am
**Role Located:**Site based roles - North-Western NSW (Narrabri Shire)
What you'll do
- Diagnose, repair and service Komatsu equipment to a high technical standard.
- Test, adjust and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and monitoring systems.
- Produce accurate, professional technical and service reports.
- Keep labour output high while maintaining excellent safety and housekeeping.
- Support quoting, job planning, TSI/warranty processes, and cost control.
- Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service.
What we are looking for
- Trade qualified Mobile Plant / Heavy Plant Mechanic (on-road or off-road) with a current Driver’s Licence.
- Strong diagnostic skills with solid mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach, able to work effectively with employees, contractors and customers.
- Proven ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Dogging, Working at Heights, Crane, or Forklift licences (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with Komatsu equipment (specifically WA1200) highly regarded.
