About the Role

As a Site‑Based Technician supporting one of our key mining customers in the Mackay region, you’ll work hands‑on with Komatsu’s industry‑leading mining equipment to deliver high‑quality maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and data downloads.

This is a fixed‑site, gate‑to‑gate role offering stability, consistent hours and a structured 7/7 roster.

You’ll be the key link between the customer and the Mackay branch, ensuring strong communication, accurate reporting and high standards of safety and compliance. This role suits someone with Komatsu experience, strong troubleshooting capability and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes in a high‑performance environment.

• Roster: 7 days on / 7 days off – Wednesday to Tuesday – Day shift only.
• Annualised Salary: Approximate of $189,000 base + Super +
• Role Located: Customer Site in Mackay region.

What we are looking for

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter (or equivalent)
• Komatsu equipment experience – essential on 930e Trucks
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance
• Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain Komatsu equipment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings
• Strong communication skills and customer focus
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
• Valid motor vehicle licence

Qualifications & Certifications

• Diesel Fitter trade qualification
• Valid motor vehicle licence
