Heavy Duty Fitter (HD Fitter) - Gold Mine | FIFO

Location: WA  (FIFO from Perth)
Roster: 2:1 / 2:2 (varies by site)
Employment Type: Full-time / Casual
Industry: Mining - Gold

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Conduct breakdown repairs in a safe and timely manner
  • Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
  • Accurately complete maintenance reports and documentation
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment and across

Skills & Experience Required

  • Trade qualified Heavy Duty Fitter / Diesel Mechanic
  • Proven experience working on heavy mobile plant (preferably in mining)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to work in remote FIFO environments

Tickets & Licences

  • Relevant Trade Certificate (HD Fitter / Diesel Mechanic)
  • Valid Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
  • Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Confined Space (preferred)
  • High Risk Licence (forklift - desirable)
