About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance Control, this permanent Technical Writer role is responsible for reviewing, writing, and maintaining technical documentation for the Mine Asset Management division. You will ensure all documents are accurate, clearly written, and compliant with Newmont standards and relevant statutory requirements.

Your impact

• Prepare high quality technical documents, manuals, and user guides
• Review and revise content to improve clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency
• Liaise with subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information
• Structure and format content in a logical, user friendly manner
• Ensure all documentation complies with Newmont standards, guidelines and document control requirements
• Update and amend existing documents to reflect changes, improvements or new information
• Develop and maintain templates to ensure consistent document formatting
• Conduct research to verify technical data and specifications
• Review final drafts to ensure error free content before uploading to the relevant document control system
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks with ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement

Prerequisites for your success in the role

• Australian recognised trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines
• Sound knowledge of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements and documentation standards
• Demonstrated experience in mining operations with a strong understanding of mine risk management and safety compliance obligations
• Advanced technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical instructions for trades, operators and other stakeholders
• Proven experience with document control processes, workflows and document management systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital document management tools and systems
• Working knowledge of SAP and related software
• Full and unrestricted Australian work rights.

The position work schedule is 5:2/4:3 drive in, drive out from Perth or Southwest region with mine accommodation provided.
