Northern Star Resources is currently seeking a Survey Technician to join our team at Thunderbox Operations. This role offers a strong, long-term career opportunity within our Technical Services function.

Key Responsibilities

• Drill & blast ring markups
• Stope Drone and CMS surveys
• Mine heading design and pickup surveys
• All the associated software processing with the above-mentioned tasks
• Maintain the Survey Vehicles - daily prestart & washing of vehicles
• Maintain the Survey Stores area
• Maintain and Clean Survey Equipment

About You / Requirements

• Experience using CAD software or exposure to mining environments (desirable)
• Experience working in high-risk environments around heavy machinery (desirable)
• Methodical and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify errors and problem-solve effectively
• Hardworking and able to work well in a team environment
• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Quick to learn new software systems
• Enjoys a balance between office-based work and hands-on, field-based tasks

Qualifications & Certifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying (or willingness to work towards)
• A current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
