About the Role

The Reliability Engineer is accountable for supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable fixed plant performance through the application of reliability Engineering principles. The role contributes to value creation by identifying and mitigating reliability risks, improving asset availability and lifecycle performance, and embedding disciplined maintenance strategies.

This role requires strong analytical capability, decisiveness, planning discipline, and resilience under operational pressure, while demonstrating high personal work standards and initiative.

  • Conduct structured reliability analysis (e.g. RCA, FMECA, Weibull, to identify root causes of equipment failure and performance loss.
  • Collect, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources (CMMS, condition monitoring, operations data).
  • Identify trends, correlations, and systemic issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Recommend practical, cost-effective solutions and monitor their effectiveness post-implementation.
  • Apply Engineering standards and technical knowledge to diagnose complex reliability issues.

Role Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering - Electrical or Equivalent
  • Class A Electrical License
  • Experience in Maintenance, Reliability or Asset Management within an Industrial or Mining Environment
  • Working Knowledge of Reliability Methodologies, Maintenance Strategies and Condition Monitoring Systems
  • Experience with underground fixed plant equipment.
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing or manufacturing industry
  • Experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical related equipment
  • Strong practical experience relevant to technical maintenance in mining or related industry is necessary.
  • Contract management experience in the maintenance area would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • SA residents only
  • No visa holders will be accepted for this role
