About the Role

Macmahon are currently seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to join the Nifty Copper Mine team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will lead and coordinate all maintenance operations across fixed plant and camp maintenace. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable functioning of equipment with the prime objective of ensuring that equipment availability targets are achieved.

The role is based at the Nifty Copper Mine site in WA, with an 8/6 roster (days only).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure production targets are met, and plant availability is maintained
• Supervising day-to-day maintenance and project execution on site
• Coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring safety, environmental, and statutory compliance
• Conducting field risk assessments and supporting hazard controls
• Monitoring quality, timelines, and contractor performance
• Supporting procurement of materials, plant, and equipment

About You / Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical trade or degree, preferably electrical.
• Experience with PLC systems preferably SCADA.
• Qualified as WHS 2022 S26 Site Senior Executive
• Extensive mining maintenance experience of 5+ years
• Demonstrated strong leadership, supervisory and crew coordination skills and proven ability to coach and develop teams
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure in a production environment
• Hold or be willing to obtain statutory supervisor certificate
• SAP Maintenance Management System experience highly regarded
• Demonstrated diagnostics and trouble shooting ability
• Computer literacy and sound numeracy/literacy skills
