Safety Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Safety Superintendent to join a leading mining and resources organisation supporting the delivery of decarbonisation infrastructure projects across multiple sites in
WA.

Roster: 4/3 or 8/6 Roster

Start: ASAP start

Length: 12 months with potential to extend - depending on client requirements

Hourly rate: $1380 p/d + Super depending on experience

The Role:

This is a key leadership role, replacing an existing position within a well-established safety structure. You will oversee safety performance across several project sites and lead a small team of Safety Advisors, ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of complex capital works.

Reporting into the Project leadership team, you will take ownership of safety leadership across multiple project locations. This role requires a confident and experienced Superintendent who can operate autonomously, influence stakeholders, and maintain strong safety standards across varied construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team of 4 Safety Advisors across 3 project sites
• Driving consistent safety leadership and standards across multiple locations
• Supporting project teams and contractors with risk management and compliance
• Leading incident investigations (including ICAM) and corrective actions
• Conducting audits, field leadership activities, and critical control verification
• Engaging with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders on all HSE matters
• Contributing to safety reporting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience:

• Proven experience operating at Safety Superintendent level (essential)
• Strong background in construction or major infrastructure projects within mining or resources
• Experience managing multiple sites or complex project environments
• Demonstrated leadership of Safety Advisors or similar teams
• Strong capability in risk management, ICAM investigations, and contractor oversight
• A confident, hands-on leadership style with strong field presence
• Ability to influence stakeholders and maintain high safety standards across projects)
