Senior Mining Engineer

About the Role

Glencore Senior Mining Engineer will report to the Technical Services Manager and work with long, medium and short term engineers to deliver safe and efficient mine schedules. This role will coordinate and work with other departments, tying in all aspects of mine planning to provide timely delivery of critical business objectives. Coaching and mentoring Mining Engineers within the Technical Services department will be essential to build on the capabilities of the team. This is a key leadership role within the business which offers brilliant longer-term career opportunities.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• High interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• A flexible attitude and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and problem solve.
• Proven previous experience in a similar role at a senior level or ready to develop into a leader.
• Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
