The Opportunity
As the largest global crushing contractor, we have operations across Western Australia - operating in iron ore, lithium and hard rock.
We are seeking an experienced Mining Surveyor to join our high performing team at our client site across the Rio Tinto Rehab Project, working on an 8D/6X roster.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate survey data and supporting operational planning. This role will see you partnering with teams across site to ensure precision in end‑of‑month reporting, survey mark‑ups and volume reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive open pit mine surveying activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- Interpret rehabilitation design files supplied by clients
- Manage and upload Trimble Earth Works files and data
- Manage end‑of‑month surveyed volumes – data entry, reconciliation and reporting
- Provide timely reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly survey updates
- Utilise Surpac and other relevant software to prepare plans and models
- Collaborate with operational teams to deliver accurate surfaces, designs, and spatial data for production and planning purposes
- Maintain up‑to‑date survey records with a strong QA/QC focus
About You / Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Mining survey experience, ideally in open pit operations
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy skills
- Proven end‑of‑month reporting, volume reconciliation, and survey data management experience
- Proficiency with Surpac and experience with Vulcan highly regarded
- Knowledge of GPS systems, including Trimble Earthworks necessary
- RePL Licence and relevant drone experience necessary
Qualifications & Certifications
