Project Engineer - SMP

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support engineering activities.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for project stakeholders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Support procurement activities including supplier and subcontractor coordination.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with supervisors, trades, and project teams.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Identify project risks and assist with developing solutions to mitigate potential issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project processes and delivery.

About You

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
• Previous experience working in a Project Engineer role within construction, mining, or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams.
• High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
