Project Manager / Project Engineer - Capital Projects

Job Description

PERSOL is partnering with a leading mining operation to recruit both Project Managers and Project Engineers to support the delivery of sustaining capital projects across a large-scale gold operation.

These roles will support a portfolio of concurrent projects as well as a major $150M-$200M capital project, offering strong exposure across brownfield project delivery within an operating plant environment.

The Opportunity

Working across processing plant, rail, and infrastructure scopes, you will play a key role in delivering capital projects from business case through to execution and handover, ensuring safe, efficient integration into live operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Scopes of Work with stakeholders to deliver best value outcomes
  • Prepare and review project governance documentation (Core Process 6, Global Investment Process, internal standards)
  • Lead or support end-to-end project delivery from concept through to completion
  • Obtain key approvals including Stakeholder Requirements Specification, MoC, PEAHR, ONRSR, and GTS
  • Utilise 1SAP for planning, execution, procurement, and coordination with work groups (tamping, regulating, etc.)
  • Manage or support multiple capital projects or a major $150M-$200M program
  • Drive outcomes across safety, cost, schedule, and quality

What You Need

  • Proven experience in capital project delivery within mining, rail, or heavy industry
  • Strong background in project governance and engineering processes
  • Experience developing business cases and delivering projects from inception to completion (PM level)
  • Strong capability across operations, financial planning, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills
  • Engineering or construction background preferred

  • FIFO 8/6 roster (fly out morning of Day 8)
  • Flights from Perth, Darwin, or Brisbane
  • Initial 6-month contract with strong pipeline of ongoing work
  • Immediate start
