Project Engineer

About the Role

Redpath Mining is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering underground mining projects safely, on time, and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and technically challenging operations within a globally respected mining contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute project engineering activities across underground mining operations
• Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including work packs, methodologies, and reports
• Provide engineering support to site teams, including supervision and mentoring of junior staff
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

About You / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in underground mining or heavy civil projects
• Strong understanding of project management principles and contract administration
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging site environments
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence
