Production Worker / Machine Operator

About the Company

Our Client is a major manufacturer and supplier building and construction materials, are currently seeking an experienced Production Worker / Machine Operator to join their team initially on a temp basis with the view for permanency.

The Role

Located in the eastern suburbs of Perth, this role will see you reporting directly to the Production Supervisor working amongst the fixed-plant machinery in the manufacturing facility. You will be required to complete the following duties:

• Monitoring and operating factory machinery / equipment (Kilns and press operator)
• Isolating machinery in the case of process or mechanical issues
• Following quality control procedures
• Adhering to safety protocols, attending toolbox meetings

Requirements

• Previous machine operating experience / factory environment
• Must have a current driver's licence and own vehicle to get to work
• Ability to work on a continuous shift roster (days and nights)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
• Forklift License - Bonus although not essential
• Be a permanent resident of Australia with full work rights (sorry no holiday visas)

Roster & Remuneration

You will be required to work on a rolling shift pattern comprising of both days & nights, each shift being 12-hours made up of 7 shifts per fortnight (5 shifts week 1 / 2 shifts week 2 with R&R in between days & nights inc every second weekend) Hourly rate of $43.11 p/hr. Should you work outside your usual shift pattern then DOUBLE TIME will apply for the whole shift!
