The Role

SRG Global Mining Services is looking for experience Service Person to join our Operations, in Whyalla, South Australia. You’ll be working with a professional team that values clear communication, safety, and efficiency backed by competitive pay, modern equipment, and industry-leading facilities. This is a long-term project for SRG Global having been the drilling and blasting contractor onsite since 2012.

This is a full-time residential position with client supplied transport daily from Whyalla. Roster is 7:7 day shift & night shift.

The Role

The Service Person role is crucial in ensuring the maintenance and operational readiness of equipment and facilities.

To effectively, safely and productively service site plant and equipment, to ensure continual maximum production capability and be an integral member of the team in regard to safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Checking fluids and refuelling all plant and equipment
• Assist site fitter with regular maintenance servicing and manufacturing requirements
• Maintain the service truck and fluid levels to be readily available as per the requirements of the drills
• Assist Drillers with collecting consumables and other site duties as required.
• Utilization of Integrated Tool Carrier/ Manitou to load/unload drill rods and manoeuvre parts and equipment as required
• Ensure oil bund containment area is kept stocked to par levels, organised, tidy and clean

The successful applicant will ideally have

• Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
• Mechanical aptitude is essential
• Ability to perform labouring duties
• Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
• A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

• Previous mining experience
