Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. The Checkers processing plant at Mt Magnet is currently undergoing a A$223M expansion and upgrade to an initial 4.3Mtpa capacity, with construction expected to be completed in the September 2027 quarter.

The Role

As a Process Operator, you’ll be at the heart of the gold processing plant’s daily operations — keeping circuits running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll monitor and control key processing areas, carry out hands‑on tasks across the plant, and play a vital role in maintaining production performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitor, control, and operate processing circuits focusing on crushing, grinding and CIL, with exposure to gravity, electrowinning, gold room, TSF, and water systems
• Perform tank density checks, sampling, and equipment monitoring
• Achieve production targets by using resources efficiently and optimising reagent and consumable usage
• Review plant performance against targets and work with the team to implement changes that drive better operational results
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the plant, ensuring clean and safe work areas
• Collect accurate operational data and support daily reporting requirements
• Work closely with metallurgy and maintenance teams to maximise plant reliability and performance
• Conduct safety and equipment inspections, completing corrective actions when required
• Support gold room operations to ensure smooth elution and stripping processes
• Follow all company values, policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements
• Identify and report hazards, contribute to safe work practices, and participate in required HSE training and meetings

About You

You’re a safety‑focused and reliable Process Operator who thrives in a fast‑paced plant environment. You bring hands‑on operational experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. You’re comfortable with both field and control‑room tasks, confident using plant systems, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and operational performance.

You bring to the role:

• Experience as a Process Operator, ideally in gold or base metals
• Good working knowledge of operating Crushing, leaching and grinding sections
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team
• Confined Space, Gas Test Atmosphere and Working at Heights
• Exposure to mobile plant such as Skid-steer, Bobcat, EWP, IT Loader, or Telehandler
• High Risk Work Licences such as Front-End Loader, Gantry Crane, or Forklift (desirable)
• Basic computer skills and experience with systems such as CITECT and INX an advantage
• National Police Clearance and a valid C‑Class WA driver’s licence
