We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team and support the effective delivery of payroll, compliance and reporting functions across the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, this role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll services. You will support payroll processing, system administration (JDE & UKG), and provide reporting and analytical insights to drive continuous improvement.

Working closely with payroll, time entry and employee services, you will help ensure payroll activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with legislative and organisational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing, including fortnightly cycles, adjustments and employee transactions
• Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, Enterprise Agreements, Awards and NES requirements
• Analyse payroll data and maintain reporting models to support audits, compliance and business insights
• Assist with payroll system administration (JDE & UKG) and maintain accurate employee records
• Provide timely reporting, respond to queries and support continuous improvement initiatives

About you

• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing within a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including Fair Work Act and Modern Awards
• Experience with payroll systems (JDE, UKG or similar is highly desirable) and advanced Excel capability
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships
