Mechanical/Mining Project Leads

Your new company

You will be joining a major underground mining operation with a strong capital and brownfields project pipeline. The site offers a stable 8/6 roster from townsville, Brisbane and Cairns. The environment is high ‑ performance, safety ‑ driven and built around consistent project delivery across both surface and underground assets. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting upgrades, tie ‑ ins, shutdowns, and ongoing operational improvements in a live mining environment.

Your new role

As a Mechanical/Mining Project Lead, you will take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering a portfolio of brownfields projects across underground and processing areas. You will oversee technical execution, contractor performance, budgets, schedules and risk controls while ensuring safe and efficient project outcomes. The role requires autonomy, strong decision ‑ making on the ground, and the ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A mining background (essential) - underground experience highly regarded
• Proven ability to deliver projects autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong safety leadership and the ability to intervene early on emerging risks
• Project controls capability - scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, risk/change control
• Experience executing brownfields projects, shutdowns and operational tie ‑ ins
• Strong contractor and vendor management skills with a focus on accountability
