About the role:

We are looking for a Mining Engineer to join us at our Boggabri mine, an open-cut coal operation producing up to 8.6 million tonnes per annum, and with a mine life extending through until 2036. Boggabri mine is located near Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri, regional towns which offer community spirit and a unique and diverse country lifestyle.

The Mining Engineer role supports the delivery of short to medium term mine planning and operational design across the Boggabri open cut operation. It contributes to pit design, scheduling support, reconciliation, reporting and technical data management to ensure alignment between design, production and operational outcomes

About you:

You believe in fostering a positive, collaborative work culture - ensuring we always put our people first.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related subject
• Experience in open cut mining operations.
• Experience in mine planning, design and scheduling (coal desirable).
• Understanding of operational mine planning processes and reconciliation practices.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental and operational compliance requirements within mining environments.
• Experience with a range of mine planning and scheduling software applications like Vulcan, SPRY, Deswik, Gantt Scheduler, Talpac etc
