Underground Mining Engineer

We're seeking talented Underground Mining Engineers to join high-performing teams across multiple underground operations throughout Western Australia. These permanent FIFO roles offer stability, variety, and the chance to make a real impact on site.

About the Opportunity:

You'll thrive in a fast-paced underground environment, working closely with supervisors, operators, and technical teams to drive safe, efficient production. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to continuous improvement across site.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing and optimising stopes, drill & blast plans, and development schedules
• Working directly with supervisors and operators to deliver daily and weekly production targets
• Monitoring performance, analysing data, and identifying improvement opportunities
• Supporting ventilation, geotechnical, and survey functions
• Maintaining a strong underground presence and building effective working relationships

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Mining Engineering (or related discipline)
• Underground hard-rock experience (2-5+ years ideal, but strong juniors considered)
• Proficiency with Desvik, Vulcan, Surpac, or similar mine planning software
• Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
