Pearl Recruitment is seeking an experienced part-time Mechanical Trade Assistant for an immediate-start position at a local industrial plant based in Welshpool. This is an ongoing maintenance opportunity for our client, a well-established engineering and maintenance provider.

• Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday | 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
• Ongoing Long-Term Opportunity
• $40.00 Hr + Super + Penalties
• Immediate Start

The Role

This position will suit a mechanically minded Trade Assistant with previous experience supporting trades within industrial, maintenance, workshop or similar environments. Your duties will include:

• Working alongside mainly Mechanical Fitters, as well as other trades, to assist with day-to-day maintenance
• Assisting with general mechanical repairs and maintenance work
• Using hand and power tools as required
• Helping remove, replace and fit mechanical components
• Providing general plant and workshop support
• Working in confined spaces and at heights when required
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe

To Be Successful, You Will Require

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant and a strong mechanical aptitude (previous exposure to fixed plant is advantageous)
• Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets, or willingness to obtain them
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen
• Compliant working rights for the ongoing roster
