Your new role
As the Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership across maintenance, reliability and safe operation of a processing plant at a regional site.
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, this critical role ensures plant reliability, regulatory compliance and strong operational performance across complex processing assets. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support safe, efficient and reliable operations.
This role will suit a hands‑on maintenance leader with experience in heavy industry, mineral processing or continuous manufacturing environments, who enjoys balancing people leadership, technical problem-solving and operational delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing mechanical, electrical and contractor maintenance teams
- Planning and delivering preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
- Coordinating shutdowns, major repairs and capital improvement works
- Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental and statutory compliance
- Monitoring asset performance and driving reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing maintenance planning systems, contractors and maintenance budgets
- Supporting efficient and reliable kiln and fixed plant operations
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Engineering degree or Mechanical/Fabrication Trade qualification
- Proven maintenance leadership experience in 24/7 processing or heavy industrial environments
- Strong understanding of asset maintenance and reliability principles (RCM, RCA, FMEA)
- Experience delivering preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Exposure to shutdown execution and capital project delivery
- Experience using maintenance management systems (SAP preferred)
- WA Statutory Supervisor Certificate of Competency
- Certificate IV in Leadership (highly regarded)
- Sound capability in risk management and Microsoft Office applications
