Machine Operator / Forklift (Printing Industry)

Based in Malaga, our client is an international and sustainable printing and packaging company specialising in a variety of packaging solutions for not only the food and beverage industry but other sectors including healthcare, pet-care, beauty, home and garden.

They are seeking a motivated and reliable Machine Operator / Forklift Operator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment, with full training provided by an experienced Senior Sheeting Operator.

The role involves learning how to set up and operate a sheeting machine, converting reels of cardboard into flat sheets of various dimensions while following strict safety and quality processes.

About You:
We are seeking someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn. You will need to have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Previous forklift experience is highly desirable, particularly experience operating a 5-tonne reel grab forklift.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in machine operation
• Reliable and safety-focused approach to work
• Forklift licence essential (5-tonne reel grab experience highly desirable)
• Ability to follow processes and maintain quality standards
• Good attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Full Australian working rights

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Training to set up and operate a sheeting machine
• Converting reels of cardboard into flat sheets of various sizes
• Operating forklifts, including a 5-tonne reel grab forklift
• Unloading containers
• Scanning and managing stock using RF scanners
• Assisting with general production and warehouse duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
