About the Role

LH Blaster Painter We require experienced industrial Blaster Painters to lead crews in Auckland and Northland. As a key leader in the crew and reporting to a supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing steel surfaces by water jetting, abrasive blasting, and power tool methods, and protective coating application by spray (conventional and airless), roller, and brush.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading a crew of industrial painters
• Preparing steel surfaces using abrasive blasting and power tool cleaning
• Applying industrial protective coatings by various methods
• Ensuring that all work meets specified quality requirements.
• Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and minimising any potential impact on the surrounding environment.
• Managing workplace hazards, health and safety, quality, and efficiency
• Ensuring that equipment is well maintained, available, operational, and in safe working condition
• Meeting deadlines and advising management of any potential delays
• Building strong working relationships with stakeholders

About You / Requirements

• 5+ years of industrial blasting/ painting experience
• A valid coatings inspector certification (CIP or Icorr).
• Previous experience of leading hand duties, or sufficient experience and ability to make this career progression
• Certification in Working at Height, and Elevated Work Platform (desirable)
• Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting experience and qualifications (desirable)
• Great communication skills
• A positive, safety first, team player mentality

Qualifications & Certifications

• Coatings inspector certification (CIP or Icorr) (required)
