About the Role

The Opportunity: We’re seeking a Workshop – Leading Hand to support day‑to‑day operations in our Mackay workshop. This role is 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday–Tuesday) and is 50% hands‑on, 50% leadership, supporting a team of 10–20 technicians, apprentices and trades assistants.

Roster: 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday) day shift only.

Annualised Wages: $133,000 - $156,000 base, plus super, plus tool allowance

Role Located:Mackay – Bosso Street

What we are looking for:

• Trade qualification: Electrical Fitter, Auto Electrician or Diesel Mechanic
• Mobile Plant Equipment experience
• Strong leadership capability and ability to guide technicians/apprentices
• Understanding of workshop operations, WIP, quality and safety
• Ability to review estimates, identify parts/tooling needs and support job planning
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
• Commitment to 5S, continuous improvement and safe work practices
