Pearl Recruitment are seeking an experienced Production Leading Hand to join a well-established workshop based in Forrestfield, working on heavy-duty road transport equipment. This is a great opportunity to secure a stable, ongoing position with an immediate start. 

Job Details:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Forrestfield location
  • $53.32 hr + superannuation + penalties
  • Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity

**What will the role see you responsible for?**Working within a busy workshop environment, you will support the Foreperson in leading a team to deliver high-quality builds and equipment. Key duties include:

  • Lead and coordinate the assembly team on equipment fit-outs
  • Support trades, trade assistants and apprentices on the floor
  • Prioritise workflows to meet production deadlines and targets
  • Conduct quality checks throughout builds and complete final sign-off
  • Promote a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment
  • Assist with resolving job or staffing issues as they arise
  • Assembly, servicing and repair of heavy-duty transport equipment
  • Complete job records, checklists and required documentation
  • Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures at all times

What do you require to be successful for this position?

  • Trade qualification in Fabrication/Welding, Mechanical or a related discipline
  • 4+ years’ experience in assembly or production, ideally within heavy vehicle environments
  • Current High Risk Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
