Pearl Recruitment are seeking an experienced Production Leading Hand to join a well-established workshop based in Forrestfield, working on heavy-duty road transport equipment. This is a great opportunity to secure a stable, ongoing position with an immediate start.
Job Details:
- Monday to Friday
- Forrestfield location
- $53.32 hr + superannuation + penalties
- Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
**What will the role see you responsible for?**Working within a busy workshop environment, you will support the Foreperson in leading a team to deliver high-quality builds and equipment. Key duties include:
- Lead and coordinate the assembly team on equipment fit-outs
- Support trades, trade assistants and apprentices on the floor
- Prioritise workflows to meet production deadlines and targets
- Conduct quality checks throughout builds and complete final sign-off
- Promote a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment
- Assist with resolving job or staffing issues as they arise
- Assembly, servicing and repair of heavy-duty transport equipment
- Complete job records, checklists and required documentation
- Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures at all times
What do you require to be successful for this position?
- Trade qualification in Fabrication/Welding, Mechanical or a related discipline
- 4+ years’ experience in assembly or production, ideally within heavy vehicle environments
- Current High Risk Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
