About the Role

The Lead Reporting & IGSC role is a key member of the Reporting and Analytics leadership team and is responsible for leading the Reporting & IGSC sub-team. Coordinating the delivery of all IGSC and Reporting activities that enable the success of the broader Reporting and Analytics team, this role is accountable for continuously improving team effectiveness through the development and delivery of key improvement initiatives aimed at building capacity, capability, and a strong performance culture.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations.
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
  • Deliver reliable and accurate IGSC month-end processes.
  • Perform consolidated reviews of cost allocation for relevant IGSC cost centres to ensure accuracy and completeness in line with the IGSC allocation methodology.
  • Conduct periodic governance reviews and collaborate with key business stakeholders to resolve errors and optimise processes across IGSC models, processes, RACI, allocations, global and regional charging methodologies, and the community of practice.
  • Deliver comprehensive data analysis and meaningful commentary to support value identification across Global Functions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance Business Partners, Accounting & Reporting, and Operations stakeholders across Global Functions and Regions, acting as the primary point of contact for Reporting & IGSC inquiries.
  • Deliver and optimise periodic regulatory reporting requirements for the Philippines, Kuala Lumpur, Australia, and other impacted countries or regions.
  • Support SOX compliance and testing by ensuring internal controls are operating effectively and associated risks are identified and addressed.
  • Drive continuous improvement through citizen-led simplification and process improvement initiatives to ensure robust controls and efficient delivery of outputs.
  • Lead and enable Reporting & IGSC team members through clear cascading of plans, active management of health and wellbeing, and setting clear individual KPIs to evaluate and manage performance.

About You

  • Proven general finance experience, preferably within Integrated Global Services Costing (IGSC) and Reporting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent professional qualification is required.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant accounting and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholders in a global environment and build strong, effective relationships.
  • Ability to prioritise and perform effectively in highly ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in planning, budgeting, and forecasting, particularly within a Global Functions context.
  • Proven experience leading complex problems or projects with demonstrated delivery of outcomes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for simplification and continuous improvement.
