Lab Technician

We are currently working with the owner operator of a hard rock mine site located in North West Queensland.

Your new role

Due to increased operational demand, our client is seeking FIFO Laboratory Technicians departing from Townsville, Brisbane, or Cairns . This position involves both day and night shifts on a 7/7 roster , with 12.5 ‑ hour shifts . Responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:

• Preparation, analysis, and reporting of samples to required standards
• Maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
• Adhering to all site and laboratory safety procedures
• Managing laboratory consumables and reagents , including stock monitoring, equipment pre ‑ starts, and routine maintenance

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous FIFO experience (essential)
• Experience working in lead, silver, or zinc mining environments
• XRF experience (preferred but not essential)
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Ability to complete a pre ‑ employment medical , including drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to obtain a police clearance

This role is working within a lead/silver mine site, which will require you to be clean-shaven to be successful in the role. What you'll get in return
