Northern Star Resources have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Geology Technician.

This opportunity is offered as residential in the Goldfields working a family friendly roster of 8/6, 11-hour days.

The successful candidate will assist in the collection and processing of geological samples to ensure the provision of timely and accurate data for subsequent analysis by Geologists.

Typical Tasks:

• Assist geologists with grade control drilling activities in field
• Assist in setting out planned holes in the open pit for grade control
• Manage grade control samples and laboratory submissions
• Conduct workplace inspections
• Assist geologists and surveyors in completing ore mark ups
• Manage stock levels of consumables used for grade control and ore mining

Requirements

Essential

• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence

Preferred

• Current approved and recognised forklift ticket.
• Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft office products.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work unsupervised as required.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• St Johns Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Mechanical knowledge and skills (desirable)
• 4WD operation and recovery skills (desirable)
