About the Role
Based in Belmont and reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this pivotal role is about more than account management. You’ll take full strategic ownership of a major customer portfolio spanning construction, mining, and government sectors across Western Australia. Your mission? To lead the growth, retention, and development of key relationships positioning Coates as a trusted partner, not just a supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the customer relationship: Act as the senior point of contact for key accounts, supported by a strong local team. You'll drive long-term strategic engagement across all levels of the customer organisation.
- Be the face of Coates: Proactively embed yourself within customer businesses to understand their challenges and align Coates' solutions to support their operational success.
- Think strategically: Develop and execute account growth plans and customer engagement strategies, working closely with internal teams to deliver innovative, value-adding solutions.
- Drive growth: Identify and act on new project opportunities within existing accounts while also creating pathways to engage new customers across the WA market.
- Stay connected: Travel across the state as required to visit sites, strengthen relationships, and ensure visibility across all levels of your customer network.

About You / Requirements
- Experience selling services into construction, manufacturing, government or related industries
- Be a self-starter who thinks strategically to drive results in a performance-driven environment
- Have proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Tendering and contract management experience
- Ability to interpret and analyse data to formulate strategic plans
- Demonstrate appreciation for the importance of good stakeholder relationship
