Finding better ways™ to move our people forward

We’re inviting students from Geotechnical Engineering disciplines to join us in roles across our Iron Ore business.  Applicants must be currently studying Masters or Bachelor of Engineering degrees majoring in Geotechnical Engineering.

Our Intern Program offers you the chance to help shape Rio Tinto from within. The 12-week Summer Internship Program provides hands-on experience, with the potential to secure a graduate position upon completion.

Where you will be working

In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own a world-class, integrated network of 18 mines, 4 independent port terminals, a rail network spanning nearly 2,000 kilometers and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand. We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.

Eligibility

  • Intern Program – penultimate year or students in 2nd or 3rd year

  • Have the right to work in Australia or New Zealand (citizens, permanent residents, student or postgraduate work visa holders)

  • Must be available for FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) and Perth-based opportunities
