HV Electrician

7/7 Roster | $78.35/hr + Super on all rostered hours | FIFO Rockhampton/Townsville/Cairns, direct to site!

Join a long-term mining project with a well-established contractor delivering operations at Bravus’ Carmichael Mine in Queensland’s Galilee Basin. We're seeking experienced HV Electricians to support a large electric-drive haul fleet in a modern mining environment.

Flights are provided from Rockhampton, Townsville, and Cairns, with applications welcomed from across regional Queensland.

What You’ll Bring

• QLD Electrical Workers Licence (or recognised equivalent)
• HV Switching Operator qualification, or willingness to obtain
• Experience maintaining electric drive mining equipment highly regarded
• Exposure to electric drive loaders, haul trucks, or locomotives advantageous
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or ability to obtain
• Current Queensland Driver Licence

Your Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs across electric drive haul truck fleets including CAT 796, Liebherr T264, and Hitachi EH5000
• Complete preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and component replacements
• Diagnose faults using schematics, onboard systems, and diagnostic software
• Support commissioning works, infrastructure upgrades, and statutory inspections
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team
