About the Role
EOI join the Barminco team as an Auto Electrician and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on our extensive fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and high machine availability in challenging underground conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems on underground mobile equipment.
- Fault-find and repair wiring, starting, charging systems, batteries, and control circuits.
- Install and maintain safety systems, lighting, communications, and machine telematics.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs in confined and challenging underground environments.
- Complete maintenance documentation and follow all site safety and compliance requirements.
About You / Requirements
Our ideal candidate background includes
- Previous experience working as an Auto Electrician (any industry welcome)
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent).
- Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).
