ABOUT THE ROLE

The BHP Human Resources (HR) team provides seamless HR advisory services, delivers improvement programs and initiatives aligned to a high-performance culture.

Our HR team are expected to work across a range of HR Service Category activities independently or as part of a team:

In the role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain strong working relationships and collaborating with peers within the BHP HR community including HR Business Partnership and subject matter experts to drive functional improvements and initiatives;
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to stakeholders on a range of HR related queries;
  • Support implementation of improvement initiatives aligned with business strategy;
  • Support reporting processes and develop insights to drive improvement;
  • Complete projects, and ad-hoc tasks in support of HR team as required;
  • Contributing to and promoting a culture of high performance and a disciplined approach to work.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree or any relevant qualification in Human Resources (New graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Experience in Human Resources with exposure to working in different facets of HR
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, customer services, problem solving, organisational skills will be critical to your success in this role
  • Experience working within a complex organization and be passionate about supporting Leaders
  • Has experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, you are agile in your approach whilst being able to deliver on multiple priorities.
  • High computer literacy, including excellent spreadsheet/database skills and the ability to generate insights
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders in support of resolving complex issues.
  • Previous exposure to working in mining, heavy industry or professional services environment will be beneficial for this role.
