About the Role
Ahrens is seeking an experienced and motivated HSQE Officer to join our Queensland Design & Construction team. This is a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining high safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety and quality on-site, throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to make a significant impact on the success and safety of our projects.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Experience in documenting policies and procedures.
- Experience delivering WHS services to construction, manufacturing or production enterprises.
- In depth knowledge of WHS practices and principles and current legislative requirements, and hands on experience in monitoring and reviewing WHS systems, procedures and practices.
- Effective written and oral communication skills including proven skills in negotiating, developing and managing cooperative working relationships, and resolving issues constructively.
- Understanding of case management principles.
- Practical experience using safety management systems software.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Applied First Aid and CPR competency.
- Current driver’s licence.
