About the Company

Pearl Recruitment are actively seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Transport Mechanic for our well-established client based in Forrestfield, specialising in heavy-duty road transport equipment. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with an immediate start.

Roster & Conditions

• Local 8:6 roster (Forrestfield workshop location)
• Day shift only, 12-hour shifts (11.5 hours paid daily)
• $61.78/hr + superannuation
• Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity

What will the role see you responsible for?

• Mechanical, electrical & structural repairs on trucks and trailers
• Engine rebuilds and component overhauls to OEM standards
• Routine servicing (oil, filters, inspections)
• Diagnostics, fault finding & repairs on diesel engines and transmissions
• Identify faults and support preventative maintenance
• Work with team to meet deadlines
• Complete job records accurately
• Maintain workshop standards and safety compliance

What do you require to be successful for this position?

• Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Heavy Automotive Mechanics or equivalent)
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in heavy vehicle maintenance with strong diagnostics across diesel, hydraulic and braking systems (experience with brands such as Mack, Kenworth, Volvo, Scania highly regarded)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Unrestricted working rights
