We are seeking an experienced Group Events Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications team, based at our Head Office in Belmont (moving to the CBD in mid-2026). Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role is responsible for delivering a structured and high-quality program of corporate, sponsorship and internal events that support NRW’s strategic objectives.
You will manage end-to-end event planning, stakeholder coordination, governance requirements and vendor engagement to ensure consistent high-quality standards, operational efficiency and strong organisational representation across all activities.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering a comprehensive and diverse events program, including large internal events, client hosting, sponsorship activations and office-based activities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, providing guidance to ensure consistent event standards and strong outcomes
- Strong capability in vendor coordination, budget tracking and procurement
- Ability to implement structured processes, templates and tools to support efficient event delivery
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised, with very high attention to detail
As a Group Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Coordinating and delivering a group-wide events program aligned to business priorities and brand standards
- Managing corporate hospitality including guest lists and hosting logistics
- Planning and executing sponsorship activations and events, ensuring maximum value and brand exposure
- Delivering key group-wide events including R U OK? Day, International Women’s Day, NAIDOC Week and other large internal events
- Supporting office-based events such as Melbourne Cup, EOFY updates and major project celebrations
- Develop strict policies and procedures related to the events function which are adhered to
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality event delivery
- Managing vendors, budgets and procurement processes to ensure cost-effective outcomes
- Maintaining event documentation, risk assessments and compliance requirements
- Monitoring event performance and driving continuous improvement across all activities
