The Role & Project

As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in Northwest Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.

MACA is seeking Grader operators with Civil experience to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.

Locals in Northwest Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate’s location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Relevant experience and current tickets for Civil Earthworks
• Proven GPS Dozer or UTS / Final Trim Grader experience
• Background in bulk and final trim earthworks
• Ability to work within large civil crews – teamwork is essential
• Willingness to work away on a 14/7 roster
• 140M, 150M, 16M graders
