Geology Technician - Resource Definition

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Geology Technician to join our Technical Services team in the Murchison region.

Reporting to the Senior Resource Definition Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting drilling and sampling programs to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective growth of mineral resources.

This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll work closely with geologists and drill crews, assisting with field activities and core yard operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process drill samples to maintain accuracy and minimise backlog
• Assist with RC and diamond drilling programs
• Conduct quality control on sample collection, documentation, and dispatch
• Prepare drill sites (marking pads, sumps, hazard identification)
• Support geologists with field activities and data collection
• Ensure accurate data entry into site systems
• Maintain a safe and efficient core yard and sampling environment

About You

You are a proactive team player with a strong safety mindset and hands-on experience in drilling and sampling activities.

You will also have:

• Experience in RC and/or diamond core drilling environments
• Strong understanding of sampling and QA/QC protocols
• High attention to detail with solid data entry skills
• Ability to work in remote environments on an 8:6 FIFO roster
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

Qualifications & Tickets

• C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months) (essential)
• Forklift Ticket (desirable)
• Advanced 4WD Training (desirable)
