Equipment Operator

The Role

The Tailings Crushing teams services bulk materials handling, crushing and equipment maintenance and management for various departments across the Mount Isa Mines lease. The positions are residentially based in Mount Isa.

This position reports to the Supervisor - Crushing on a 7x7 day shift only roster, previous experience is required with either mobile crushing and screening plants, loaders, excavators, and or watercarts to meet the requirements of the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
• Operating a variety of Heavy Earth Moving equipment in a mining and or civil construction environment
• Maintaining safe operations of mobile crushing and screening plants
• Working with other departments, contractors, and teams to support and ensure production targets are safely met
• Maintaining a high level of safety in the way we work
• Stockpile management and mobile equipment interactions
• Monitoring, reporting, and conducting operations within the asset’s footprint including servicing of equipment
• Safe operation of machinery across site and positive communication during mining activities
