About the Role

Reporting to the A Shift Electrical Supervisor North Yard, you will be responsible for the development, execution and closeout of improvement projects on electrical fixed plant equipment, processes and documentation.

Your duties will include:

  • Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade
  • Maintain a high-level working knowledge of safety processes
  • Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of all plant and infrastructure equipment.
  • Have a sound understanding of maintenance management standards,
  • Work effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
  • Proficiency with computer-based planning systems, ideally 1SAP & Fiori
  • Ensure that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed
  • Ensure adequate application of corrective work to facilitate the Planning Process.
  • Monitoring of asset integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Australia recognized Electrical Licence
  • Current Australian drivers licence
  • Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment
  • Experience working in Iron Ore Processing Plant is highly desirable
  • Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes
  • Motivated who can work with minimal supervision
  • Be dedicated to Continuous Improvements
