IntroductionWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead - Communications Systems to support the delivery of complex communications and infrastructure projects within a heavy industry environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical engineering delivery with team coordination and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on project execution rather than pure people management.About this roleKey responsibilities include:
Lead the design and delivery of communications systems and infrastructure solutions Coordinate engineering activities across wired and wireless communications technologies Manage engineering across the full project lifecycle - design, build, commissioning and handover Provide technical leadership and oversight to engineering team members Support resource planning, work allocation and prioritisation Ensure engineering outputs meet Australian standards and project requirements Work closely with project managers, field teams and stakeholders Participate in design reviews, governance and safety-in-design processes Support tendering, estimating and technical input for new opportunities Engage with clients, vendors and subcontractors Read moreIs this you?Essential:
Degree qualified in Engineering (Communications, Electrical, Electronic or similar) Eligible for Engineers Australia (MIEAust) 10+ years' experience in engineering design and project delivery Experience within mining, resources or heavy industry environments Strong understanding of communications systems and infrastructure delivery Ability to work across multi-disciplinary engineering environments
Desirable:
